Kool!

It's always fun to hear a Zenon track. I would critique it 'till your brains fell out, but either way, it wouldn't matter, because this is still an insane track. And it's just cool. I dunno, I can't explain it, it's just that good!

PERVOK responds:

I made this song using headphones, and I'm listening it on speakers... it sounds horrible :(

I really should have checked that out before I submitted... needs more trble in the leads and less in the bassline >:/

Oh well, I guess I'll fix it later. Thanks for the review.

Dude!

This was pretty sweet, but your potential is held back big time!!!

Some pointers...

-The same guitar riff gets REALLY repetitive after a while, there's nothing else going on really. I mean, it changes up once, then what happens then? Nothing else. Just one guitar solo. That kinda blows the song out of what it really could do. Nice riff, bad working of the song to make it diverse.

-I'm a drummer too. Now, I'm not trying to offend you in any sort of way, but seriously, start playing more, and more, and practice more, and more. You're using very generic fills, going from the snare to the low toms most of the time, and they're not going to help you. You've gotta break your boundaries and start developing your fills. Also, tranfering your beats, like from one beat to another, were not pleasant. They didn't groove nicely with the riff, either because it was the beat, or because you were shifting tempos way too much. You've got lots of potential, but you're not there at all. To groove, you're beats and fill MUST be smooth, you can't have choppyness like you had. Some of the beats were just like that, and they were fine. But other times, you had EXTREME gaps between your fills and beats and the sort. Keep playing with people!!! It's the only way to get better at being a band.

-What's with the child's voices in the backround? It's was wierd with that ambience in the backround. Make sure you don't have extra noice around you when recording.

-Overall, I'm not saying this is bad, but you've got a ways to go with developing a song. Keep goint at it!!! And check some of my stuff.

540Flip responds:

Okay, thanks

Sweet!!!

Insanely fun piece. This would be a good shooting game piece, like, for the intro movie of the game. Slightly too distorted to hear everything going on, but it's actually okay, because the distortion in itself is a backdrop, so that's pretty cool. Everything grooved very nice. I dunno if this is DnB, it felt Industrial, but whatever, that's for other people to decide. Nice job, and keep it up! Whatever you're doing is nice. Just keep building upon it, putting the icing on top of the cake.

cycerin responds:

Lovely big review. Lol you know i was actually gonna put it in industrial but im sick of all my songs ending up there so i stuck it in DnB. Think the fast tempo and the bass warrants it.

Wow!

You've got a really good ear. How long have you been playing guitar? That was also a very insane piece. Heck, all of your remixes are absolutely mind blowing and different. It's fun to listen to too!

-Check out my techno if you haven't, it's my best stuff. Rate it too! And thanks for the previous review!

-SuperDrummer146

Soundshifter responds:

hey thanks, I've been playing for two years, but it runs in the family so i learn fast, I'll be sure to check out your other stuff

Dude!

That is the insanest remix of a Mario song I've ever heard! You really did a lot of work to make the song more original, though it isn't really yours, you made the song feel that way with the awesome acoustic style. It's insane.

The strings came in a little wierdly, but it added some style to the guitar. The riff was redone very nicely. Music to my ears!

-Great job. Check some of my stuff!

-SuperDrummer146

Cool.

Hope to see the final production. I really can't make too many suggestions on this, but hopefully, that's like, and intro, and outro, or something, because a general rock loop like that just screams for some rocking action. I would say right now, this is more classic rock feeling, so if you wanna keep it in general rock, it would be kinda cool to hear some pumped up parts. And most importantely, have fun with it!

-SuperDrummer146

-P.S. Check my audio page, there's more on it than your last visit : )

Slayer-of-trolls responds:

Oh yeah. Heh, I completely forgot about the classic rock catagory... I'll upload the finished one in classic rock section for sure. It's too bad you can't change stuff once you upload it... Cuz this doesn't loop properly either... Haha.

I'll be sure to check out your stuff.

Thanks for review

Dang!

This would be the tightest ringtone ever! I entirely love it. Though short, this piece had some awesome stuff to it. The latin theme was really present and fun. Your percussion was slightly out of place at the beginning, but it improved as the song when on. The ending was beast!

-Sorry that this isn't one of my longer reviews, but seriously, you've done an awesome job with this song. You need some more extension, and a little more dynamic features in there, but overall, this rocks!

-Check out some of my stuff.

-SuperDrummer146

P.S. I'm starting my own little award thingy when I review stuff (hopefully, I can make them in a form so you could put it in a sig), but you get SILVER DRUMSTICKS, the third highest drumstick pait you can get. Great job!

Oustanding Job!

Just the beginning made me jittery! You really have put your talent and mind into such a knockout piece! I would have given this a nine, but this is just insane.

Good stuff

-Dynamics! Someone here actually uses dynamics! Amazing! In all my years here, I usually see people who make classical music use dynamics, but you've taken that to a different standpoint, and really have made it shine. It adds so much feeling to it.

-Complexity. The instruments were dynamics in such a different way. They sometimes changed sound to affect the climax. You took softer sounds and made them sharper to fit the climax. Wow!

-Percussion. It was very nice, the fills were complicated and fun. It really added the spices on top of whatever you put spices on, a song? Hehehe : )

Some less desirable things...

-Transitions. Some of the transitions weren't entirely too great. The transitions sometimes made the song more choppy. This was mostly prominent in the percussion transitions, the fill were insane, but empty, and left by itself, the percussion really did nothing for the transition.

-Clarity. It was slightly crackly at times in the instrument, which could have been my speakers, but with my headphones, it was still slightly crackly in the bass part that's at the beginning.

-The ending. I'll be honest, the ending just bombed, it wasn't entirely good. After about 3 minutes and 22-23 seconds into the song, with that transition in there, which was a good one, I might add, just fade out ALL of the instruments and don't create a fancy ending with just one instrument. By itself, that one instrument won't hold water!

Overall

I must say, this is an insane piece. The reason I gave so such much input is because you have the ability to be a really awesome artist on Newgrounds, but you're not quite there. Keep working it!

-And check out my muzik junk!

-SuperDrummer146

P.S. I'm starting my own little award thingy when I review stuff (hopefully, I can make them in a form so you could put it in a sig), but you get GOLDEN DRUMSTICKS for this awesome piece. This'll be the second highest drumstick pair you'll get. Great job!

Well...

Some of the mixing could be done better. The crash seemed really out of volume placement at times, and some of the instrument choices weren't very good. But it's catchy in a wierd way, I almost liked the bass part, it's tight. The drums could be improved. And by the by, there is NO FREAKIN WAY this is 270, your bass drum part determines that, you'd have to double 135, the tempo this is at now, to get to 270, the eight note tempo = 270, but the normal quarter note tempo = 135. You've got to think on that one before using it as an advertising ploy, lol.

-Good job, check my stuff and rate it.

-SuperDrummer146

Natedog102 responds:

*Cough* Umm, yeah.... :) Yeah, totally honest, It was 270, but I just spaced the kicks out every 8th step and the sythns around every 4th step. Lol...Thanks for the review, checkin your stuff out...

Hmm...

...I was looking at a review by g-rave (the awesome dude), and I was thinking, maybe you're so under-rated due to the fact that some people may think there isn't enough diversity, but I think not, this is insanely awesome. Maybe if you work at it, you'll get really good, and shove it out there as a shining thingy of glory, or something, I dunno...

-Anyways, go check and rate my techno if you haven't already!

Rawrthaas responds:

I fivened everything that I didn't fiven before :P

Thanks!
