Dude : D

I seriously like the progression and pretty much everything about this song. It's got everything anyone could ask for in a song, plus more. It goes beyond many other songs. Great job mate!

-Hey, I see you're interested in vox. No, I'm not a singer, but I'm pretty good at lyric writing. I'd be happy to give this a try for the lyrics : D

DaGrahamCraka responds:

thanks man! i see you messaged me so ill talk to you there. thanks for the review!

:D

Yo dude!

Nice production, but get off of the Fruity Loop samples unless you're either going to edit them to make your own sound, or use it as a good thing, which you kind of did. You still missed the point though. Making your own samples insures the sound you want, a better sound, and something us listeners know that you've created, something you truly influenced. Nice composition, you've got that much down, that's for sure : D

-I use FL Studio as well, check my audio : D

EternalDissonance responds:

making your own samples is very annoying... grr.... im gettin a keyboard eventually, probably by summertime. Then you get to hear what I can really do.

Interesting...

You certainly took a turn in a different direction, that's for sure. The beginning is a little weird, but the end is definitely great, like the synths. I recognize that voice clip from FL : P

-Hey, maybe we could collab some time?

Rawrthaas responds:

Sent you a pm

Lacks your thought on the song...

You've got sound down obviously, the overall sound is quite nice! The thing you're missing is that a remix is YOUR own creation. Change it up! You want to create a composition you can truly call your own. It's like making your interpretation on something. You've obviously chose a nice song to do though, it's nifty. Keep working with your program to get as much out of it as you can, you've got the capabilities right in front of you!!!

DarkValentine responds:

thanks alot. i'm trying what i can do, to make it better obviously for me and such.

once i can get back into the groove of making my own tracks, like i did with "A Brave Warrior", then i'll be back in business. thanks once again for the advice

YOU LITTLE BUGGER!!!

You used the "Duck and Cover" audio! I was saying to myself "I gotta try this in an industrial style!" but then, I thought I found what I wanted, and it has the same audio clips you used : - 0

Lolz, great audio! I've gotta try a piece like this!

Khuskan responds:

Somebody got owned :-P

It's probably been sampled somewhere else as well, I wouldn't be suprised if theres 3 or 4 songs using samples from the same movie.

Then again, I take pride in using 'Duck and Cover' in my piece without a single recorded instance of the words 'duck' or 'cover' actually being heard.

Oh yeah, and this style is really, really damned fun. 7 hour turnaround from start of production to final mastering, it's the most rewarding track I've ever made.

Pachabel's Canon Bass Line?

Sounds really great, just the fact you left the song pretty empty and all. Vocals would be nice? Maybe I'll try to record some, just silly ones if I actually do. Either that, or I'll at least write some : D

-I'll see what I can do, not promising anything : D

I actually am looking for a vocalist right now, PM if you are still interested.

CRAP MAN!

I like, wrote a whole review for this, and lost all the stuff ; (

Here's an overview though : D

-Nice drum samples
-Composition lacking
-Weird synths, but reflects the mood of the song.
-Song detached
-Beginning and end lack value

-Composition is your key downfall, so work on it! You've got the sounds. Produce the music, the feeling. This song has got little of anything without style and art in it. Keep learning to compose your thoughts and string 'em together : D

Hmm I've alwaysed like your reviews thanks a lot man Myabye you can help me on that ^^;

Interesting!

All these remixes you do of Mario songs are seriously just amazing, they've got your own touch to it in one way or another, whether it's genre, or a different composition. Just awesome, great job, love the organ : D

-ImperfectDisciple-

Soundshifter responds:

thx a lot dude. ya i tend to put little twists, glad you liked

Wow man : D

Didn't think I'd run into music this good for someone with only three track so far, but then again, expectations with newcomers is usually lower, you raised that standard : D

-Very nice melody, it's very suiting. Composition is great for the most part. The only thing is you use the same patterns over and over again. Add extra melodies, and riffs, maybe countermelodies. The layout of the song was nice, but predictable, keep the listen on their toes, but relaxed with the song for the most part. Create the tension, and then release it. This causes the audience to be attracted to what's going on, and what's going to happen, and the release makes the audience go "aah!"

-Good try mate, you're certainly getting there!

-ImperfectDisciple-

Jiao-Zhang responds:

And yes, there WAS a counter melody. It was that first synth that came in. I see what you mean by the tension, but I didn't really care that much about it becuase I just did this for fun! And no, I have been making music for a year now so dont except me to be a noob =p Thanks for the review man!
