So close to being a really good song!

There's just some minor stuff that's holding this song back, but I can really see it building into some amazing creation.

Here's what I found that you could work on.

-The beat at the beginning. It was good, but the same beat with fills the whole time gets really repetitive. Try adding another beat that trades off with the other, and treat the beginning breakbeat part like a verse/chorus part.

-Transition to DnB was good 'till you brought the beat in too soon. It was full-up, and the rest of the song just wasn't with the beat at the moment. From the breakbeat/DnB transition to the end, just build and keep building. It shows a musical mindset of maturity (lol, m's).

-Good job, just keep those kinda things in mind, transitions and the dynamics of a song.

-What's good about your song.

-Keeping the interest of the listener
-Dynamic-ish
-Great melody/lead work, nothing runs over the other thing, it's smooth, it flows, and it's super catchy.
-Lots of interesting sound in general.
-Use of the whole sound spectrum (bass, mid, and treble) in a fricken' awesome way.
-FX used with purpose.
-SHAWEET!

its long, well written reviews like this that make me appreciate the audio portal.

much <3, disciple

Fricken sweet!

My only real complaint is that it's a bit too distorted for my liking, but then again, industrial can be like that I suppose, with all the over clipping and such :P

-Nice song though, pretty hardcore with the beats, that's for sure. Keep it up :D

Sephora responds:

Thanks, that's what i was going for.

Real Ska!

-Some people on the portal really have no idea what ska is (and I mean, it's not the most popular genre out there, so lots of people really don't listen to it), but this is the real thing!

-Nice brass support! It's cool that you didn't use the brass instruments the whole time, it was blended in well.

-Nicely put together, you guys could go somewhere.

Nice

A very nice building song, kept me interested the whole way through, except for the ending. The ending seemed to reflect a very rushed thing, it really had nothing special about it, just a faded and filtered ending. Make it feel like it's done, like the song is actually ending versus something where it feels incomplete, it puts a weird feeling in the listener.

-Anyways, good job!

cornandbeans responds:

there was actually more to the track; I just cut it because I personally didn't like the ending :P

Sha-weet!!!

I definitely think this is a great song. It has a professional sound, and the singing and whistling definitely add to the laid-back feeling of this song.

-Something that I think could add to the song would be a beatbox section, if you can. Otherwise, I have a mic, I'd be glad to try it if you'd like :P

-Otherwise, AWESOME!

Kingbastard responds:

pls tell me you're joking about the beatbox:D i really dont think it'd work with this style, although you never know.....

Pretty sweet!

I'll be honest, those vocals are so annoying with that high pitch to it. If there's a way to change that, please do!

-Otherwise, the song just had this awesome sound after those vocals. The leads blew me away again!

-Piano ending could have been EQ'ed better, but maybe it was my dumb iPod headphones.

-Overall, sweet job dude!!!

Rawrthaas responds:

I was wary with the vocals too :P I showed this song to my friend and he was like "What's wrong with that?" I was like "with what?" and he said the vocals :\

:o

Dry beginning, great afterwards!

Fun song, pretty simple and repetitive, but it just sounds really cool, the guitars are pretty high quality too (in sound, that is).

Sweet job dude!

FRICKEN YES!!!

This is the kind of track I was hoping to hear from you in all my time on Newgrounds, and now you post just as I'm pretty much leaving the place. Makes for good exit music :D

-The things that I really liked about this piece was the constant use of triplet patterns and the energy this piece had. It was just so amazing and intriguing.

Very tight job dude!

Ah, you're one of those people who has decided to go ahead and leave.

Sigh... I never understood your kind.

Seems polished, even for 4 hours.

I like it, the synths have a nice feeling to it. The drum beat is nice, I don't know what to make of it. My favorite sound is that of the strings, they're very elegant. This was kinda a jazzy-classical piece, very well done too!!!

ErikMcClure responds:

I love the strings too ^^ I'm glad you like the song, those 5's are always nice ;) Thanks!
